3 in custody after disturbance outside of uni accommodation block

A 31-year-old man and a 40-year-old man have been arrested on suspicion of assault. A 41-year-old man has also been arrested on suspicion of theft - they all remain in custody for questioning.
Officers from Pendleton Police Station were called out to a disturbance on Frederick Road, Salford about a small group of men fighting just after 10 PM.
An ambulance along with six police cars attended the scene close to The University of Salford's Peel Park Campus. Injuries reported are believed not to be life-threatening after officers responded to diffuse the situation.
An onlooker told Shock Radio that he had seen the police cars travelling through red lights and came down to take a look.
He continued, telling us that a man, being called "the victim" by police officers, had been escorted into an ambulance.
A resident inside "Tramways" flats told Shock Radio they understood a violent altercation had taken place.
Shock Radio has been told an offence is being investigated by a detective who attended the scene and it's alleged to be a threat of violence which lead to the victim sustaining minor injuries. The victim left the scene in an ambulance.
