Sigrid Tour Review
Kicking off her two shows at the Albert Hall in Manchester on Thursday night, Sigrid brought the room to life with her up-tempo songs and dance moves.
The Norwegian singer opened with her newest single ‘Sucker Punch’ which immediately got the crowd on a high for the rest of the concert. The singer sung a total of 17 songs including her hits; ‘High five’, ‘plot twist’ and ‘schedules’ which she and the crowd danced their socks off too.
As well as singing her upbeat tracks, Sigrid included her slower songs such as ‘Dynamite’ and ‘I don’t want know’ which highlighted her impressive vocal ability.
Despite becoming well established in the music industry having won awards such as BBC music sound of 2018, there were also a range of new tracks that the audience had yet to hear including ‘Haunted’ and ‘I Don’t Buy It’.
Even though Sigrid didn’t speak directly to the crowd often, before introducing the song titled ‘Savage in our blood’, the strangers singer spoke about the meaning of the song and how she wishes to use her platform to have a voice and although many of her songs are about love she also wants to speak about the things wrong in the world proving herself to be more than just a love song writer.
Before her encore ‘don’t kill my vibe’ was played, Sigrid’s first single, which got the crowd bouncing, leaving them wanting more. Following this Sigrid performed a three-track encore starting with focus which was played using a piano, presenting her musical talent on the keys. The following songs were ‘credits’, a new song yet to be released, and her number one single, ‘strangers’ that ended the night on the highest of highs making it a show to remember.
